Before you contract for a new roof in Dallas, you should know that there is no licensing requirement for roofers in the State of Texas. The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, in an attempt to legitimize our industry, has set forth a certification program. Texas Star Roofing was certified for both residential and commercial projects and maintains that certification by completing continuing education credits and adhering to RCAT’s requirements including insurance. We know the more professional our organization is, and the better educated we are, the more our customers like you benefit from doing business with us.
Texas Star Roofing employs the services of only in-house crews for all our Dallas new roof construction projects. We never hire transient storm-chasing crews. Our crews are experienced and trained to install the roofs we sell. Technicians are responsible for the labor portion of our warranty and know they will be required to repair any leaks under that warranty. This gives them incentives to do a good job the first time so they won’t have to come back on their own time to correct a problem. The storm chasers will be long gone before most leaks become apparent… But our sales staff oversees all new roof construction and performs a final inspection when the job is complete.
We are a ShingleMaster company with Certainteed. In order to be certified, our foreman and our sales staff must pass the Certainteed Shingle Applicator’s Manual test. We are a Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning, again being tested, and we have sent crews to training courses conducted by Gerard and are a certified contractor for them. We also have been to training sessions for TAMKO Metalworks. Our company does everything to ensure your new roof construction and installation is at (and above) current industry standards.
